Principle
Discoverability, and efficiency of use
People report that radio presets, driving features and even the hood release are buried several taps and pages deep, so they are hard to find at all and each adjustment stretches into long glances away from the road.
More issues about flexibility and efficiency of use and discoverability
A fix
Keep every function used while moving at most one tap from any screen, through a persistent bar that doesn't change between apps, and let drivers pin their own shortcuts. Give safety-relevant mechanical functions like the hood release a physical fallback.
