People report consent popups that hang, add delays, show resubmission warnings, list over a thousand vendors and reappear on later visits, which they describe as wearing them down until they pick whatever dismisses the dialog fastest.

A fix

Apply a refusal immediately on the client with no processing wait or confirmation step, store it so the dialog does not return on later visits, and honor browser-level signals such as Global Privacy Control so no dialog is needed. Group vendors under a few purposes with one toggle each, and load page content without waiting for the consent script.
