Principle
Fitts's law
People report that the iPhone keyboard is slow and error-prone, with small cramped keys, no dedicated comma key and awkward slide-to-type, so missed and wrong keystrokes keep piling up.
A fix
Enlarge the effective touch targets of likely next letters and add frequently used punctuation such as the comma to the main layout. Improve full keyboard navigation and shortcuts for physical keyboards, and make third-party keyboards easy to find and stable once installed.
